Ground Zero For The Netroots In 2008

Kingpin Kos is rallying his people-powered troops to a fight with the Democratic establishment in two House races for 2008.

The first primary race, one where the netroots have been quite animated ever since the 2006 primary, features a rematch between Rep. Albert Wynn and challenger Donna Edwards in Maryland's 4th District. The other race is in Illinois' 3rd District, where Rep. William Lipinski faces an intraparty fight against Mark Pera.

Kos' rallying cry called those races "the two clearest battles between the party establishment and us outsider insurgents. That's why we've got to help these reformer candidates. Because if we don't, they've got nothing."
