Bloggers Suspect An E-Voting Conspiracy

As noted in Technology Daily this morning

Some bloggers are spreading a theory that is sharply dividing Democrats online -- that Barack Obama lost to Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire's primary on Tuesday because the vote was rigged.

"Something stinks in New Hampshire," one commenter posted on the popular liberal site Americablog.

The Dallas Morning News reports that fraud allegations about the election results abound on the Internet and can be found on sites such as Crooks & Liars and Democratic Underground. "Other folks that I've spoken to, who follow this sort of thing, share my concern at this hour," blogger and election-fraud watchdog Brad Friedman wrote on bradblog.com.

Supporters of Texas Republican Ron Paul also are pointing to discrepancies in at least one town, where dozens of votes cast were initially counted as zero -- before an election official corrected the error.

The campaigns themselves have not claimed any fraud occurred, and other bloggers dismiss the conspiracy theory.
